Logos are small, usually simple, graphics legally registered or established, that form part of the identity of a business.
Creating your logo using Canva is only allowed if you use your own uploaded elements, Canva's basic shapes, lines, free fonts and our pre-made logo layouts.
Note: Images found online belong to their copyright holders, and cannot be used without their permission.
Also note that use of Canva's pre-made logo layouts will make it difficult if not impossible to register the logo as a trademark given you do not have exclusive use over that design. If you intend to trademark your logo, use only elements that you've created yourself or commissioned directly.
As stated in all of our License Agreements, your official business logo cannot use any free or premium photos or illustrations from Canva’s library ('stock media') since all copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to the stock media are retained by Canva and/or its contributors.
Thanks for your message, I'd be glad to clarify this with you!
If your designs use only elements you uploaded and created yourself, Canva's basic shapes, lines, free fonts and our pre-made logo layouts then you may use Canva to create your logo.
Our License Agreements prohibit use of any free or premium photos or illustrations from Canva’s image library in your logo.
