Do I own the elements in my designs after I pay for them?

When you publish and download a design, you’ll be prompted to pay for any premium elements used in your design. However, you’re not paying to acquire ownership of these elements, but instead purchasing a One Time Use License or Muti-Use License. The contributors of the elements (either Canva or the contributing artist) retain the copyright to their work.

For more details, please consult our One Time Use License and Multi-Use License.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message!

When you publish and download a design, you’ll be prompted to pay for any premium elements used in your design. However, rather than paying to acquire ownership of these elements, you are instead purchasing a One Time Use License. The contributors of the elements (either Canva or the contributing artist) retain the copyright to and the ownership of their work.

I hope this clears things up, please do let me know if you have any further questions!
