Why was I billed twice for the same image?

Once you download a design with a premium image or element from the Canva library, you have 24 hours to edit that design and download it again without charge.

This is called a One Time Use License that enables us to offer the element at just US$1.

If you want to make changes to your design and download it again after 24 hours you will need to purchase the image for US$1 again.

The same applies if you:

  • Use the image in a different Canva design
  • Use the initial as a template for another design

Note: Using the Magic Resize tool for your design will create a separate copy of the design. For this reason, you will be prompted to pay for any premium elements for that copy.

Alternatively, if you wish to use the images you purchased multiple times in another Canva design, please refer to our Multi-Use License FAQ's  and Multi-Use License Agreement which offer more options and flexibility.

If this does not explain why you have been charged twice, please submit a billing request and our team can take a look for you.
