There are several reasons why your credit card may have been charged. They are as follows:
- You may have purchased premium elements for your design.
- You may have used a contributed layout.
- You may have just upgraded to Canva for Work.
You have purchased premium elements from Canva
Premium elements cost $1 USD per premium element. You can see if you have used any premium elements in your downloaded designs by viewing your invoices. When you purchase elements in Canva, you will not be charged right away.
You used a contributed layout
Contributed layouts are layouts in the library contributed by professional graphic designers. If there are premium images used in the layout, you will need to delete all the premium images in the layout to avoid being charged.
You upgraded to Canva for Work
We offer our users a 30-day free trial of Canva for Work. After the free trial, Canva for Work subscribers are charged either a monthly or an annual fee - this is determined by the user before starting the free trial.
On a monthly plan, Canva for Work costs $12.95 USD per team member per month while on an annual plan Canva for Work costs $119.40 USD per team member per year (equivalent to $9.94 USD per team member per month).
If a subscription cancellation has not been made during the trial period, the paid subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged depending on your chosen subscription plan.
