How do I group elements?

When you want to move or resize many elements at once, you can save plenty of time by grouping elements together.

There are several ways to select a group of elements. Using a mouse, you can click and drag to draw a box around all the elements you’d like to select. You can also select a group of elements by holding down the SHIFT key and clicking each element one-by-one to add or remove them from your selection group.

If you want to select every element on the page at once, you can click and drag to draw a box around the entire page, or press CTRL+A to quickly select every element.

Now that you’ve selected a group of elements, you can move or resize every element in the group together!

If you want to move the group, simply click and drag any element that’s part of the group. Resizing every element in the group is simple too: just click and drag the resize anchor, just like you would resize a single element. You can also copy or delete the group by clicking on the edit menu.

When you are done with your group, just click some other element or any empty area in the design pane. If you need to work with the group again, you can reselect in a snap!

Canva tip:
